Top Ten Tuesday (4)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Characters I’d Like To Switch Places With For 24 Hours (in no particular order)

Amanda's Five

1. W. W. Hale the Fifth from Heist Society
Who wouldn't want to be a super attractive billionaire? I mean really.

2. Alice Michaels for The Clockwork Empire series
The action! The adventure! The ability to fix/modify anything and everything clockwork! Yes, please!

3. The Warded Man (Arlen) from The Demon Cycle series
He's easily one of the coolest characters I can think of.

4. Bertie Shakespeare Smith from Théâtre Illuminata series
This one is easy. I love plays, the theatre, magic, faeries...and smart, sassy characters.

5. Albus Dumbledore from Harry Potter
I don't feel that there is an explanation needed for this one.

Erin's Five

1. Lucy Hamilton from The Drake Chronicles
I mean, hello, who wouldn't want to date a super hot vampire like Nicholas?

2. Magnus Bane from The Mortal Instruments/The Infernal Devices
Does this really need an explanation? Magnus is AWESOME!

3. Schuyler Van Alen from Blue Bloods series
Really kick's butt even though she's at a disadvantage most of the time.

4. Zoey Redbird from House of Night series
Keeps fighting even when all she wants to do is stop.

5. Cammie Morgan from Gallagher Girls series
She's A SPY! Really, that should be the only explanation needed.

Slowly trucking through these while on vacation. Was not expecting to have nearly as much homework to do this week as I do so that is keeping me from reading as much as I had hoped. -sad face-

Top Ten Tuesday (3)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten Most Vivid Worlds/Settings In Books.

This is so hard, I don't read enough high fantasy/dystopian novels to really know a lot of great worlds/settings. I'm not exactly sure if these are very vivid worlds or not, but they're my favorite.

1. Seven Kingdoms/The Dells (Graceling Realm series) *

3. Brittany (Grave Mercy/His Fair Assassin series)

4. Avalon/Faerie (Faeriewalker series)

5. Violet Hill (The Drake Chronicles series)

6. Uglies world (Uglies series)

7. St. Vladimir's Academy (Vampire Academy series)

8. Night World (Lots of different places, but Las Vegas in particular.) (Night World series)

That's it! They're in no particular order, and link to Goodreads. The maps link to where they can be found, just click 'em. Not every world/setting had a map, so I included the ones I could find.

* This was originally two separate maps, The Seven Kingdoms and The Dells & Pikkia. I edited them together.

Of course I have to finish the trilogy, regardless of the fact that I usually don't like the third book in Nora Robert's trilogies. Heist Society has been on my to-read radar and Erin just bought it. My love of crime shows and heist movies (White Collar and Ocean's movies anyone?) will surely be happy with this one!
Ready Player One is coming with me on my 21 hour drive to Colorado later this week, I'm sure we'll get well acquainted. :)

Erin
Even though I have 5 other books I need to get back to reading, I'll probably pick this up today and start reading as soon as I finish Across the Universe.

What are you reading this week? Thanks for reading!

Tea Time (1) & Teaser Tuesday (1)

In lue of Top Ten Tuesday, we're having Tea Time. Tea Time will be a sporadically posted (most like weekly or alternate weeks) freebie day where we will talk about whatever we want, post whatever we please, and probably dance awkwardly. We're really good at that.

Amanda's To-Read Shelf (This is getting to be a bit ridiculous, again)

I've had several of these books for years now and I still haven't read them! What kinds of things do you do to try and get through the mountains of books you need to read?

I've been watching the TV adaption of The Nine Lives of Chloe King, but I have not read the book. I'm halfway through the 10 episode run and I already know I'm going to have to read it, even if it was a book that I never had a huge interest in reading. I'm not going to be happy with what I don't find out from the show.

Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading.

"Smooth, Fox." Gage commented when Layla left. "Good morning, really attractive woman. How would you like to trudge around with me in three feet of snow and watch a dog piss on a few trees? Before you've even had your coffee?"

This book makes me chuckle so much. I do love me some witty banter.

Thanks for stopping by!

I saw this over at The Maniacal Bookworm and wanted to share!

We're huge Hunger Games fan here at T3 so this is pretty exciting! Love the designing of the poster, it's very eye-catching. Can't wait for this movie to come out!

Cover Reveal: Clockwork Princess

Oh goodness, look at this little gem!

Gorgeous! Man, I love these covers! I, unfortunately, was working when the cover was released but Erin was part of all the fun.
"The cover was revealed here after Simon & Schuster made us work for it. The tag #ClockworkPrincess had to be tweeted 30,000 times before the full cover was revealed, but with every tweet a small piece of the cover was unveiled. It was less than two hours between when Cassandra Clare blogged about how to reveal the cover, and the full cover reveal. Along the way #ClockworkPrincess was a #1 Worldwide trending topic on Twitter. "
-Erin, on her blog A Book Lover's Ramblings

I'll be honest, I still have to read The Infernal Devices series (I know, shame on me! And I'm such a Cassie Clare fan! -cries-) but they're on the ever growing list and I have Clockwork Angel already!
Anyways, incase that cover wasn't enough to entice you, here's all the covers for good measure.

Lovely!

Hope everyone is having a great day! Thanks for reading!
