Teaser Tuesday (7)

Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

To play along, just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week's Teaser Tuesday comes from Hold Me Closer, Necromancer by Lish McBride. I'm thoroughly enjoying this book right now!

"I screamed and grabbed a butter knife off the counter. I'm not sure what I planned to do with it, but in the meantime I held it in front of me just in case Brooke suddenly grew her body back and attacked. I mean, if she could talk, what was stopping her from leaping up and gnawing piranha-style on my ankles?"
and a bonus (cause this book has so many good lines)!:
"Umbrellas are for tourists. Natives know that the rain doesn't come straight down here like other places, Seattle's rain slips in, tricky, like a ninja, and attacks from all sides."

What are you reading right now?

Stacking the Shelves (30)

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

Erin's Books:
Dance with a Vampire by Ellen Schreiber
Undeadly by Michele Vail
Fated (ARC) by Alyson Noël
Perfect Scoundrels (signed) by Ally Carter

Fated came from Allie L. via YA Book Exchange, and the rest I bought.

Amanda's Books:
Perfect Scoundrels (signed) by Ally Carter

Amanda is currently on a "book buying hiatus". Due to the sheer number of unread books (120+) currently on my shelves, I've banned myself from any new book buying unless it's for a special event, such as a book signing, or I read five books from my list. This just means there will be plenty more reviews for you, wonderful readers, to enjoy!

What did you get this week? We'd love to hear!

Cover Reveal: Sweet Legacy

Tera Lynn Childs revealed the cover to the third book in her Sweet Venom series, Sweet Legacy, earlier today on her blog. And I think it's absolutely GORGEOUS, my favorite of the series. Check it out:
There's no blurb for it yet, but the release date is set for September 3rd, 2013 from HarperCollins.

Now check it out next to the other covers in the series:

What do you all think? We'd love to hear!

WWW Wednesday (24)

WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading
To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you'll read next?

What are you currently reading?
Amanda
Almost done! This one has taken a while cause some of the characters are not my favorite so it makes it hard to want to read their stories. Not that they are bad stories, the characters just bug me.

Lisa
This book is really interesting. It's more about rituals and drawing from ancient mythology than it is just a Wiccan book full of spells. It has great examples of how to make your home more saturated in tradition and full of good energies.

Erin
I'm about 60 pages into it, and I already don't want it to end!

What did you recently finish reading?
Amanda
Nothing recently, I've been in a bit of a rut.

Lisa

Erin
Oh my goodness, this book was so good!

What do you think you'll read next?
Amanda

I can't put these two off anymore!

Lisa

Erin
I've been meaning to read this, because I'm going to the launch party later this month, but newer, shinier books keep getting in the way.

What are you reading? We'd love to know!

I read this for the third time, and loved it just as much as the first time. Seriously, if you haven't read it, go out and get it now, you won't be disappointed.
