The giveaway starts now and goes through April 5th, so there's enough time for winner response before the signing. Also, the winner only has 24 hours to respond, and must be 13 years or older with a US mailing address. Be sure to read all the rules (just above the rafflecopter) before entering.
For those not familiar with Grave Mercy, here's the synopsis from Goodreads:
Why be the sheep, when you can be the wolf?
Seventeen-year-old Ismae escapes from the brutality of an arranged marriage into the sanctuary of the convent of St. Mortain, where the sisters still serve the gods of old. Here she learns that the god of Death Himself has blessed her with dangerous gifts—and a violent destiny. If she chooses to stay at the convent, she will be trained as an assassin and serve as a handmaiden to Death. To claim her new life, she must destroy the lives of others.
Ismae’s most important assignment takes her straight into the high court of Brittany—where she finds herself woefully under prepared—not only for the deadly games of intrigue and treason, but for the impossible choices she must make. For how can she deliver Death’s vengeance upon a target who, against her will, has stolen her heart?

And here is Dark Triumph's synopsis from Goodreads (not spoilery for GM):
Sybella arrives at the convent’s doorstep half mad with grief and despair. Those that serve Death are only too happy to offer her refuge—but at a price. Naturally skilled in both the arts of death and seduction, the convent views Sybella as one of their most dangerous weapons.
But those assassin’s skills are little comfort when the convent returns her to a life that nearly drove her mad. Her father’s rage and brutality are terrifying, and her brother’s love is equally monstrous. And while Sybella is a weapon of justice wrought by the god of Death himself, He must give her a reason to live. When she discovers an unexpected ally imprisoned in the dungeons, will a daughter of Death find something other than vengeance to live for?
This heart-pounding sequel to Grave Mercy serves betrayal, treachery, and danger in equal measure, bringing readers back to fifteenth century Brittany and will keep them on the edge of their seats.

ReplyDeleteI would choose Dark Triumph. I haven't read Grave Mercy yet (it's on my TBR list!), but I can easily get it from the library or purchase it online. I love author-signed books, but I much prefer them to be hardcovers, because they hold up better over time! (I say this as I notice sadly that my original Pern trilogy paperbacks, signed by McCaffrey, are showing decided signs of age despite my best efforts to preserve them -- like buying another set to actually, you know, read.)
ReplyDeleteI would like Dark Triumph! Thanks for the giveaway :D (This is Darith L.)
